Beacon Communications, LLC employee, Kane Steen starts "Kyle's Kindness Crew" to help families in need in his Rapid City, South Dakota community during the holiday seasons.
February 3, 2022 — Kane Steen, a project manager here at Beacon Communications, started his own project out of our Rapid City, SD office.
To honor his best friend of 25 years who was recently killed in a construction accident, Kane started an organization called Kyle’s Kindness Crew. Currently, he has over 500 members.
“I also started a project with Beacon Communications called Beacon of Hope in Rapid City,” he explains. “I spoke with Brad and he was kind enough to let me use the company credit card to buy some meals for struggling veterans in our area.” When the local TREA (The Retired Enlisted Association) recently closed their doors due to lack of funding, Kane knew it was time to act.
“They usually feed 5 to 7 families per year for the holidays,” he said. “I spoke with the local Rapid City veterans center and Beacon Communications donated food to replace the donation from the TREA. We were able to provide seven turkeys and food for seven families.”
With the help of Kyle’s Kindness Crew, Beacon Communications and Kane were able to provide food for a total of 35 families in the Rapid City area. Beacon Communications, LLC Media Contact: Dez King, Marketing Specialist 719-355-9261 dking@beaconcom.com
